Kashmir is well known for its its extravagant natural  beauty.It is said as paradise or kingdom of heaven. Kashmir is situated in the northern India between the valley of Great Himalaya and Pir Panjal Mountain.  It’s  natural beauty attracts the tourists from all over the world.The nature of Kashmir gives over  a positive energy & more peace of mind.Kashmir is the best place for summer vacations. In spring and summer seasons, the beauty of Kashmir is at its crest .

The Houseboats in Dal Lake & the Floating garden of Kashmir is the main attraction of thousand of visitors & tourists. Kashmir is covered with High Mountains, sloppy peaks, chilling springs, unspoiled forests. It is the only place which offers too many activities to do like trekking, ice skating, River Crossing, Paragliding etc. The best time to visit in Kashmir is July to August.Kashmir is the mammoth land of snow clad mountains. Transport Services:
By Air:
Indian Airlines conduct routine daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Jammu to Srinagar. They leave from Delhi directly, from Delhi via Jammu, and from Bombay via New Delhi and Jammu. Jet Airways also operate daily flights to Srinagar from Delhi as well as Jammu. Indian Airlines has its city office in the Tourist Reception Centre.
Srinagar airport is located 14 kms away from the city. The taxi ride to the Tourist Reception Centre costs about Rs.250/-. Jammu & Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (J&KSRTC) operates special coach services between the airport and the city.The one important thing is all foreigners tourists are required to register themselves at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office, at its Airport counter.
By Rail:
The nearest terminal for Srinagar is Jammu Tawi Railway Station (305 kms) .On this Railway Station trains arrive from Delhi, Calcutta, Pune, Mumbai, Kanyakumari, Ahmedabad, etc. As compare to flights, train bookings have to be made well in advance. During the holiday season, additional trains operate from various parts of the country.


By Road
National Highway 1-A, connecting Srinagar with Jammu, is a good, all-weather road.It is maintained by the Border Roads Organization (BRO), which clears the road of any obstructions resulting from natural causes like landslides and heavy snowfall.The distance from Jammu Railway Station to Jammu Bus Stand is 5 Km 389 mtrs.Super deluxe, A-class, B-class busses are operated by J&K SRTC as well as other transport agencies.These take approx. 11 hours to cover the journey.
From Delhi an express coach service is available, which takes 26 hours to reach Srinagar.It is also possible to travel by taxi from Jammu to Srinagar in about 8 hours.Taxis for local sightseeing as well as long journeys out of Srinagar can be hired from the Tourist Taxi Stands .

Other Transport:
The most widely used local transport is the Mini Bus, which operates, all over the city as well as the suburban areas on fixed routes.Auto rickshaws are also easily available from all points in the city on negotiable rates.
